My daughter and I were just looking through the AG catalog. She remarked that she'd really like Emily for Christmas but wishes that she had a doll like all her other AGs. When she got her asian AGT I found her the perfect little dollie. It was similar in size to Josefina's little doll. Does anyone have any ideas for a little cloth bodied doll for Emily that I can buy my dd?

Here is the link to the little doll I found. I hope it is okay to post this.

I'm using this doll as my Emily's doll. Perfect for the girl who loves princesses!

I hope this link is okay to post, but I don't have my own picture.

Click here: eBay: MADAME ALEXANDER DOLL LITTLE SHAVER (item 230033184083 end time Oct-03-0

I'm not good at getting this so you can just go to it - the above is a little doll that I have bought in the past that I am using as Emily's doll. It's a reproduction Little Shave doll and they were originally made in the 1940s. She looks rather Mary Poppins to me - so it works for me. I do hope AG will make her a doll sometime - I'm not holding my breath however

I was thinking of using Molly's doll but make a new outfit for it.

I was thinking about getting Molly's doll too but my dd seems to like the soft ones- like Sari and Ida Bean. I wonder what type of dolls were popular during that time period and how I could find this out?

My Mom was born a few years later(1947) and she had a Kewpie doll when she was small.
