Help! Question about Lindsey...

I have recently purchased two American Girl Lindsey's on Ebay...Everything looks great, except the inner thigh and the armpit area...Inside the thigh/armpit there is a small astric mark on the plastic...I have checked my Lindsey and my DD's Lindsey and I see no astric mark of any kind on the plastic anywhere.

I have looked at my other AG Girls and still find no astric symbol. I purchased both Lindsey's off of Ebay, but from different sellers...

Help! I need to know if anyone else's has these marks and what do they mean...if any. Are these Lindsey's real or where their heads put on other bodies?

I've seen this on quite a few of my dolls, but I'm not sure about my Lindsey. I know that authentic AG dolls have this mark.

My Lindsey has it on her upper arms in the armpit area, but not on her thighs.

Don't worry, lots of the Mattel AG dolls have these asterisks--I don't know for sure, but I imagine which factory the doll is from has something to do with it. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Both my Felicity ('03) and Nellie ('04) have asteriks. I don't think it's anything to worry about. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Just checked...my Lindsey has an asterix on her right and left armpits, and she is most definitely authentic since I purchased her direct from AG.

I've heard the asterisk on Lindsey is fairly common. Do your dolls have the green bodies(olive skintone)? I wonder if the ones with the green bodies have this and the others don't. There have been a lot of complaints about Lindsey's skintone and some have opted to return her for new limbs.
