Unhappy

I've searched past posts, and can't find anything on this.

DD had Lindsey barefoot on the skateboard, and now there is pink paint on her feet. That, on top of the black marks from the Light-Up Mules....... .

I tried not to freak out, but didn't do a very good job of that! She kept saying "Send her to the hospital, send her to the hospital". Really, really don't want to do that!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try Mr clean Eraser. It really works great.

I second the Mr. Clean Magice Eraser. I used it on a fixer upper the other night and it made a world of difference.

First, I'd try a baking soda scrub--just put some baking soda on a damp washcloth and give her a good scrubbing. If that doesn't work, then I'd try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (you can find it in the cleaning supplies aisle at the grocery store, or try Walmart).

If any color remains, it's time for Oxy10 lotion. Cover the marks with the lotion, and place the doll under a lamp (about a 60-watt bulb, about 4" away) for a few hours, or overnight. Wipe off the lotion with a damp cloth--if the stain isn't gone, repeat until it is.

And if none of these treatments are successful, please ask the board for suggestions! Stains or paint on vinyl is never a good enough reason to send a dollie away to the hospital!!

Good luck with Lindsey, and I hope this helps!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Word, sistah. I'd also try some non-acetone nailpolish remover on the paint marks on her feet. It won't remove stains that have sunk into the vinyl, but it will remove surface paint (including face paint, so be careful).

Like Robin said, Oxy10 works wonders. My Lindsey wore the club espadrilles too long, and some of the color rubbed off on her feet. After a couple rounds of Oxy10 it's pretty much gone if not gone completely. It also worked well on the PM #3 I recently gave my cousin. The 1998 holiday dress had stained her shoulders, but Oxy10 took care of that.

Thank you all! I'll try this weekend and let you know how it goes.

Kitschy--no, no, no. With the luck I've been having, none of our dolls would have face paint left.
