Do you have your pictures on your computer? You need to upload them to a space on the Internet. The easiest thing to do is to go to photobucket.com and follow the directions there.

Then ... I think this is right ... to display them on these forums, type:

    < img src = " type your url here " >

    without all the spaces.

Where I have 'type your url here', copy and paste the URL that Photobucket gives you.

Not a stupid questions at all! This is something that a lot of new members have difficulty working out. Maybe a sticky about posting pictures would be a good thing to set up - what do you think moderators?

Anyway, I use ImageStation and post pictures from my albums. To do this you have to create an ImageStation account and then create an album by uploading pictures from your file to ImageStation - they walk you through how to do this. Then right click on the album photo you want to share and click on properties. This will give you a lot of info about your photo, including the specific URL of that picture in that album. Come back here, and in your post, use this format < img src="copy your url here" > leaving no space after the < or before the >

Other people use Photobucket, but I have never used it so someone else will have to explain that.

Once you've posted your pictures on photobucket, it's really easy to post the photos or the links to the message board.

To post photos......you need 2 screens open, your photobucket page, and the Post a reply page on Hostboard. Minimize the Hostboard page, and bring up your photobucket page with your photos. LEFT click on TAG...that will highlight it. RIGHT click on the highlighted box. A drop down menu will appear. RIGHT click on COPY. Minimize that page, and bring up the Hostboard page. RIGHT click on that page, and another drop down menu appears. LEFT click on PASTE. You use the same scenario to post the links, only you start by clicking on IMG instead of TAG.
This saves you from having to type it in, and maybe forget a letter or number (like me)
This will work to post on any board.
You might want to print this out for future reference. It took me a while to remember all the steps, but then again, I'm a senior citizen and it takes a while to learn all these new things.

Nik, leave out the space after the < at the beginning, and before the > at the end. You have everything else just right!
