Dolls are helping Alzheimer's disease patients to interact better. To have dolls to care for can help people by rekindling emotions and perking their interests.
When my mother had a stroke I gave her a doll and it seemed to have helped her for awhile. [img]graemlins/rainbow.gif[/img] Here's the Alzheimer/dolls article:

That is fascinating! It's a limited study and I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but that's really neat!
