Hello Girls!

I'm fairly new here and I have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer for me. I thought I'd try and figure out the answers myself but I don't seem to be able to.

Who are the traveling dolls? Who do they belong to? How did they become traveling dolls? How do they get passed on to new people?

What does PM stand for in front of a dolls name? For example I've seen PM Samantha.

Who is a Miss Hostboard Participant? (I've seen this in some peoples posts) How did they become one? And what exactly is one?

I'm sorry to sound silly but I'm just trying to figure everything out here. Thank you for your help!

Welcome! Traveling dolls are dolls, they are people's dolls. They announce they are going to send out one of there dolls traveling. People sign up to host the doll. And then the hosts mail it to one host to another. PM stands for Pre-mattel, it was the company (pleasent company) before mattel, they started american girl dolls. PM dolls are better quality then the current dolls. Miss Hostboard is a contest, with AG dolls, and there is like the swimsuit contest, the casual contest, ect. And we vote for our favorite. Whoever gets the most votes wins. Secret Sister is where, you have someone who sends you little gifts, and you send them little gifts (like a secret santa), but you don't know who it is.

So I believe I may have 1 or 2 PM Dolls. My Samantha is from 1989. My Felicity is from a few years later. I really wish I could remember when I got Felicity but I can't. I wish there was a way for me to find out.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, those are PM dolls. I think your samantha might be a west germany doll, and possibley a white bodied one. (I can't really remeber the dates for the WB ones).
