Yikes!!
I love that dress and she wears it alot-but goodness-I iron that dress more than I eavr iron my own stuff!!!
Now the little bows are fraying like crazy!!
Hate to just hang it up and not put it on her.
I bought it right away when it first came out-so don't know if all of the dresses are this "difficult".
Anyone else have this issue?

I don't have this dress, but it does lok really cute. One thing I can reccommend to help wiht the fraying ribbons is "Fray Check" which is available at fabric and crafts store, and even the craft department at Wal-Mart.
I hope this helps.

I thought about 'fray check' and use it when sewing-
I worry that it might discolor the ends of the bows since they are made of the same 'linen' fabric as the dress.
'Course-if I don't do something-I'll end up replacing them anyway.
Maybe I'll try it on the inside seam, first.

What about a non-acidic scrapbooking glue? I have this "2 Way" glue stick that changes from blue to clear depending on the sticky level, and if you dabbed it on the end of the bows and let them sit for a while, the glue would probably keep the frays from getting any worse, while not staying all sticky.
I suggest this because since it's made for scrapbooking, it probably doesn't have anything in it that would discolor fabrics or papers - very important in scrapbooking, yanno.

I agree with the ironing. I'll have to check the bows. Since Molly belongs to DD and she is not as picky as I am about wrinkles maybe ours (I mean hers) is still ok. It is probably my all time favorite dress!

This dress is my favourite on Molly. I have ironed it a couple of times but luckily haven't noticed any fraying yet. I'll be more careful in the future.
When Molly is not wearing it, I lay it flat in the box so it doesn't wrinkle much.

I recently started storing my oufits in a different way. I had to get rid of all those boxes due to storage issues. The perfectionist in me hated that...but I have limited space and would rather use it for doll things! So, my husband's mom found 2-gallon ziploc bags for me. I cut a small opening in the bottom for the hanger to come through. They make great garment bags and all the accessories can be stored with the outfits! I love this myself. It also cuts down on a lot of the ironing work. Especially compared to a 1-gallon bag.

Thank you for some really good ideas!
Sure wish the dress was alittle less wrinkle prone-but it's probably because it's a 'linenie'
fabric.
Wonder what the dress looked like on Molly after a cross country car trip!!!

Mine held up to play this summer but I don't iron my own clothes let alone doll clothes so if it's wrinkly, I wouldn't worry.
