Question

I won an Addy from ebay from a fellow HB'er, and she is beautiful.

I washed her hair and did the Downey Dunk, and now I am brushing it.

I had IM'ed with Sheila earlier today and she says just "brush it".

Well that's the problem I can hardly get a brush thru it? I've even added some Sleek & Shine to help. But the brush is still getting stuck.

Am I giving up to soon? Can anyone just brush there dolls hair? Or are there just tangles underneath I just have to work out?

Im not sure about using this on an Addy (because of the textured hair) But Son of a Gun vinyal treatment works great! You spray a little bir in and it makes everything much more shiny and helps detangle it. Just not sure about Addy because of the textures hair. You can always try an inconspicable piece and see what happens. Best of luck.

Thank you, I thought about the SOAG product, but was afraid because of the textured hair.

What I am asking is does anyone have an Addy and are they able to get a brush through there hair?

hair care instructions for Addy:
1. Wash in mild shampoo and condition in cool water
2. Rinse throughly (You can Downey Dunk too after this)
3. Let her hair dry until it is just a little damp
4. Divide her hair into little sections and spritz with water
5) with your fingers or a pick, start at the TOP of her scalp and slowly and carefully untwist the knots
6) keep spritzing and going from section to section until her hair is unknotted
7)Divide her hair into small sections again. This time from the BOTTOM start brushing with the AG wire wig brush to get the tangles out. Make sure you spritz her hair with plenty of water to make sure you don't break it.

It takes lots of patience and a long time to finish but the results are worth it!

I found your instruction over on AGPlaythings, thanks.

I was just to impatient, and I finally got her hair combed and brushed and she is so sweet.

Thank you all, considering I am no photographer. But I worked real hard fixing Addy's hair and it was alot of fun to have a dollie day.

Betty, your Addy is truly beautiful - congratulations!

I just love those dolly days! I spent an afternoon and evening this week playing dolly hair salon with a fellow HB-er. What fun we had washing, conditioning, and curling dolly hair!

Addy's hair is hard to detangle. You did an excellent job!
