Okay, did I dream it, or did I read somewhere that AGPC was moving down the street from it's current location? My dh has a friend in Chicago that was asking about it. Anyone know?

Yes they are. I was just down there today(near WTP, not at AGPC). Water Tower Place is a high rise, upscale shopping mall about 8 floors or so, next to the Hancock Building in downtown Chicago. The 2 large department stores in that mall are Marshall Fields and Lord and Taylor which extend to all of the floors on either side of the mall. Both of those store chains were bought by Macys, so the Marshall Fields will become Macys, and since they don't need 2 Macys in 1 mall, Lord and Taylor will just close.

American Girl Place wants the bottom 3 floors of the Lord and Taylor store that is there now. AGs space will increase about 50%, and AGPC desperately needs a larger space. Since AGPC was the first AG store and opened way back in 1998, the amounts of products and services have drastically increased over the years. This is only a couple of blocks away from the current AGPC which is near the corner of Chicago ave and Michigan Ave.
