I think that's a GREAT idea. It really encourages girls to read and get the AG Magazine, too (since all of these books have been articles in the magazine).

    Good job, AG!

I am very happy and super impressed that AG did this. It takes the focus back to being about the books.

I like that too as it made me sad to see AG getting away from the books. I had to laugh though when I first saw this thread, because I had no idea what JLY stood for. My brain finally connected the dots and now I get it. I guess I have just been used to referring to them as AGOT and then AGT dolls.

I love it too. I hope they continue to do this! When I was younger (and even now) I primarily read with my doll. I like the idea of getting a new outfit and then being able to dress the doll in it and snuggle up with a new book, without having to have ordered them seperately (and pay more). To be perfectly honest, I don't love the book idea. It seems like everything is more expensive because of them and you don't have an option of just getting an outfit.

However!!! This is coming from a 19 year old and I perfectly understand that this company is about helping girls learn and grow. That's why I'm not complaining about the books. I think they are a really good addition for girls and probably for many adults too.

The books were actually one of the first things I noticed, before looking at the outfit. It was a really nice surprise to see that. The reading level seems to be more like the Hopscotch books, then the historical books. The books will make for a really quick short read, but any amount of reading (during the summer especially) makes me happy.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> The prices with the books seem the same as the prices outfits were without books.

Oh!!! You're right. Everything seemed a little pricey, but I guess it hasn't really changed!

I really like the idea. Then of course I love books--a real bibliophile!
