I have a really hard time getting a photo to show the beauty of the PM dolls. They look washed out and shiny. Any tips? The mattel ones seem to photograph well . . .

Using natural lighting (outdoor lighting, especially) is always good. Check out the Traveling Doll/Photography Tips Sticky for more ideas and suggestions.

Get down to their eye level, and since they don't have as much face color, don't use a flash as it will wash them out even more. There's alot of beauty in a PM, but you need to work the lighting and shadows a little more to bring some depth and realism to their faces. Have fun experimenting - I don't think your dolls will mind too much!
