I FOUND HER!!!!!!
I got an email back, and it is her ex! He gave me her email addy, and wrote this:
(I told her about this, she was surprised and moved and excited to hear from you).
that's really wonderful, that you've done all this digging and it's found us.
i hope you two find a wonderful connection together, I'll be anxious to hear all about it from her.
all the best, Dee.
I can't believe it!!!!! I am in shock! I have a sister! Now I have to figure out what to write in the email! Any suggestions? I'm having a hard time thinking right now because I'm so excited!

How wonderful!! Not only have you found her, but you now know she is interested in getting to know you as well!
My advice is to write the email as soon as you can-- she's waiting and may well be checking email every ten minutes to see if you've written her. I would vote for ending the suspense for both of you. I think short and sweet is good for a first email. You introduce yourself, say you have been looking for her for a while because you want to build a connection with your father's family, etc. Give her a real bare bones idea of who you are-- where you live, what you do, your family-- just a few sentences. Give her your contact info and say you'd like to get to know her if she is open to that.
It also sounds like she has a very caring ex which is nice.
Good luck and congratulations!

This is so great!
I would quickly e-mail. Don't put too much into it because e-mails are supposed to be short. Tell her your name, your parent's name, you phone number and how you would like to call her. Also mention connecting with her ex through myspace.
Good luck!
