My daughter is taking Elizabeth with her for our weekend getaway. She was asking me what type of suitcase and what type of bag Elizabeth would have used. My daughter only dresses her dolls in their time period clothing. She won't use her little AG backpack for Elizabeth because Elizabeth's time period wouldn't have had those. Any thoughts of what she could use or something she could make? Thanks!

I think that's great how accurate your daughter is! It shows that she cares about the history of the dolls and not just their clothes.

I believe that in colonial times, trunks were used for traveling. They were medium sized and often herbs/spices would be put in them to keep the clothes smelling fresh. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

She would probably have a little travel trunk like Felicity's. I'm sure that you can find a small one like it.

A small trunk along the lines of Addy's discontinued one. Possibly a carpet bag like Kirsten's, but considering Elizabeth's relatively high social station, not likely.
