Deborah, I got it. Those instructions are the cutest darned things! Thank you very, very much!
My Addy came from a very nice HB member. She had something like 20 teeny tiny braids on one side of her hair, which was adorable. However, every girl needs a new hairstyle, so I spent some Addy-bonding time last night painstakingly removing the braids (plus the ones I had put in on the other side). No mean feat for someone with Carpal tunnel!! Ouch, my wrist! DH sat beside me and kept up a running commentary to Addy during this process(none of which I can reprint here due to the sheer silliness factor involved ) He especially enjoyed when I tried to tighten her neck strings and ended up sending Addy's head across the room. My Addy arrived here the same way; she was from an AGPT memeber. I had an easier time taking the tiny braids out since I used to do it all the time as a kid (I was going for the crimped looked at the time). I've done her hair twice now and both times have been into a single braid down her back. I have no experience wiht textured hair, so I picked a style I knew I could do easily.
Congrats again on your new Addy. Got any pictures?

My Addy came from a boardmember, and I don't think her hair was ever taken out of its original braid. It's one long braid down her back, and to put it up like AG does, you tuck the bottom under the beginning of the braid before tying it with a ribbon.

I like those braids! You can barely see the ones my Addy had; they show up like crimp in my photo. Trust me, they were very thin and a pain to take down.
Laura, thank you. Deborah sent me the instructions to do that exact hairstyle. I'm in a Meet phase right now, so everyone is being restored to their original condition, LOL.
Addy is a beautiful doll!

Since I got a pre-loved PM Addy, I don't know what her original Meet hairstyle was like. AG catalogue and online photos are no help in this regard.
Can someone post a photo of the back of her hair in the Meet style, or explain what it is so I can duplicate it? Thanks!

Sue, I will email you the nice picture I have of the Pleasant Company instructions of how to do Addy's hair. There is one for each girl. Will you send me your email in a PM?
Thanks!

Congrats on your Addy. I have a pre-loved PM Addy also, and I think that her original hairstyle was a single braid down her back. I'm not sure, though.
