I would love to see one in Atlanta as my sister lives outside of Gainesville and so it's a reasonably short drive into the city for her (and me when I visit!). Atlanta has quite a few other draws which would make an AGP just another nice addition. When I last visited my sister (December 2005) some of her friends were telling me an AGP was rumored to be heading their way.

Atlanta is on the way and centrally located for almost anyone coming from north of there to Florida. The joke around here is that you have to go through Atlanta to get to heaven (because of the flights that leave Atlanta). I would LOVE one close to me, but I would really prefer a whole store experience. I will settle for a botique though. Anything so I can pick out my own dollies.

I think Atlanta is a reasonable choice because it is centrally located in the South, a large city, and it is (finally) becoming more tourist-friendly. We have a lot more fun activities for families in Atlanta than we ever did before, and that's largely due to the 1996 Olympics. We now have the beautiful new Georgia Aquarium (which is VERY cool, I've been), the new World of Coke opening up, the Children's Museum, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Centre for Puppetry Arts, and tons of shopping in Atlantic Station which is in Midtown. I could totally see AG wanting to buy into this market -- it's really booming. I think an AG store would do great at Atlantic Station w/all the other shopping, or maybe near Buckhead/Lenox Mall since there are a lot of expensive homes/shopping/etc down there.

Plus, Atlanta is a central hub because of Hartsfield International. I'd personally love it if they put one in Midtown/downtown so I could stop by on my way to work!! I'm really glad I got that Save Girlhood book last year just to score some points with those test marketers. Hopefully we'll hear something concrete soon. Yay Atlanta!
