It's a sale in Middleton, Wisconsin that has retired AG items. 50% of the money from the sale goes to the Madison Children's Museum.

I have heard alot about these. Like people going and picking up AG stuff. I'm just wondering what MCM Sales are. They look really neat, but I have no idea what they are. If anyone could explain, that would be a great help!!
Thank you!

here's a link to the site which describes it all

The remaining 50% is also donated to other causes:
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">LaurieFunds raised in the past eighteen years amount to approximately $14 MILLION! Madison Children's Museum currently receives 50% of the proceeds from each sale. The remaining proceeds support programs and services for children in Dane County through American Girl's Fund for Children. Previous grant recipients include the Aldo Leopold Nature Center for Nature Net; the Madison Civic Center for Pleasant Company Onstage: A performing Arts Series for Children; The Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission; and dozens of other educational, arts, and cultural programs for children
The donation programs are fantastic. As a Madison resident, I have personally benefitted from your spending!
My scholarship program during my undergrad volunteered at the Madison Children's Museum on the free days made possible by the sale. We would sponsor a "country" table where kids could learn about music and crafts from a country. We would give them materials to make a project and teach them dances. We did both Turkey and Egypt this year.
In December, my partner took me to a beautiful production of the Nutcracker- sponsored by American Girl and held in the Madison Civic Center, a building paid for by Pleasant Rowland's husband, Jim Frautschi.
Just two weeks ago, I saw a beautiful fireworks show in Madison, partially sponsored by none other than... American Girl!
So, thanks you all, for making my community a better place!
