I soaked dry hair then put the hair in a plastic bag over night. I washed out the SOG with woolite then put more SOG on for a few hours. Then I rinsed that with warm water and air dried.

This is what I do: First I wash the hair with Revlon wig shampoo/conditioner then I saturate the hair thoroughly with the SOAG and let it set for 1-2 hours then rinse well with cool/warm water. Then I shampooed it with Revlon wig shampoo/conditioner again and rinsed well. Then I lightly spritz more SOAG throughout the hair without rinsing it this time and then curl it or style it in the way I want it to look.
Edited to add more details.

On yard sale Molly with the dreadlocks in her hair, I used it like a detangler. Just sprayed it in her hair just like I normally would with water and gently and slowly brushed out the knots.
I then shampooed, rinsed, downey dunk, etc.
With Jess who just had messy hair, we spray the SOOG in her hair lightly and brushed, did not rinse it out or anything. Her hair looks much silkier now and isn't greasy one bit.
