Production in 1993 began to shift to China. Mattel took over in 1998, to the best of my knowledge. Pleasant Co. shifted production of the dolls and some items to China years before Mattel took over, so it sounds like you have a pre-Mattel Felicity, but she wasn't a Gotz one. My 1993 Addy was also made in China, but some people probably got ones in 1993 that were made in Germany during the shift.

i might just be a really random thing. my molly from 1990 has the white body. since there are warehouses full of these dolls those of ust that got the white bodied dolls, after people got matching skin tone bodied dolls, may have just gotten some of the left over white bodied dolls.

My Addy's Meet dress is tagged "Made in West Germany doll made of all new synthetic fibers" All the clothes I have, even Kirsten's from the 80's are tagged made in China.
