I've never gone to an AGP (hoping to go next summer) but when i take a doll somewhere with me I've used a backpack that zippers or one with the drawstring. I've taken Kirsten to watcha few musicals on dvd with me for my class and used the drawstring backpack to carry her accross the causewalk (walking bridge).

Usually, I carry a doll/dolls in my backpack, my old AG drawstring bag, or a big tote bag. At AGP, I carry the doll or even at Colonial Williamsburg...I don't look my age, so what does it matter? If I'm bringing more than one doll, I make my mom carry one, but she doesn't mind.

I have a nice black book/tote bag I always use for everything. It holds two dolls comfortably plus my wallet and all. I can't do backpacks- my girls like to be able to see and breathe!

I carried Kirsten. No special carrier or anything. She sat in one of our baskets in the store though.
