I need to do a downey dunk on one of my dolls, but I couldn't find any un-sented kind. So is it OK to use the sented kind on a doll's hair?

The scented kind won't hurt the hair, but the hair will smell really strong for a very long time. My personal preference is to not like dolls with a scent.
If you try a larger grocery store, like a Super Wal-mart, or Super K-mart (do they still exist?), or another large-box/warehouse version of your local grocery stores, you may find the unscented kind. It comes in a white bottle.

I looked at a bunch of places, but they did not have it! We don't have a super walmart or k-mart... oh well, I guess I'll just try the scented kind, I tried to get the kind that didn't smell that bad. Has anyone tried the kind that's scented on doll hair?

I used scented. It works the same, just make sure the scent isn't something that smells weird.

I used the scented kind and regretted it for a long time. I tried to rinse the smell out, but it stayed and stayed. It didn't smell nasty, it was just so strong.

I used the scented and I like it. I used a fresh linen fragrance and now my dolls smell clean. So it doesn't hurt the doll at all.

I've used the scented kind too. Now every time I smell Downy I think of my dolls. It's a comfort smell for me now - LOL.
