    Question

I have just seen a photo of Felicity's met dress with a 1986 West Germnay tag. I think this is OK even though Felicity was only introduced in 1991. BUT, what is puzzling me is that the tag also has "doll contains synthetic fiber" on it. Can a clothing tag refer to dolls? Would love to hear from anyone ! This is my first time posting, too, so I hope I did everything correctly.

Just a guess is that maybe they used the same tag for cloth items...but it's just a guess.

Welcome, pob! I think that because the dress always comes on the doll, making them both part of one item, it is possible to put the doll info on the tag. Does that make sense? To us the dress and the doll are two seperate pieces, but from a marketing standpoint they're not.

That is the right tag in the dress. I have a '91 Felicity my sister got from PC as a child and that is what the tag says that came in her dress. I think they didn't have body tags at that time, and the meet dress always came with the doll, so they put the doll materials info. on the dress tag.

Welcome to the board POB. great question and observation! Personally, I think PC had the idea for Felicity a lot earlier then her original release.

    Welcome!

Welcome to the board, POB! Like Nia said, the more the merrier! And I agree with SarahS that the doll info is probably on the dress because they are usually sold together when the doll is new.
