OT: Chapters contest

A few weeks ago I entered a contest sponsored by Chapters (Canada's equivalent of Barne's and Noble) to win a position on their Junior Advisory Board. You had to write a review of one of the books on their Summer Reading List. The prizes were SO great: a $1000 Chapters giftcard, a trip to Toronto- the list goes on and on. But best of all the winners would have their recommended books and reviews in every Chapters store with their name and picture.

I had completely forgotten about the contest and dug up the brochure about it the NIGHT BEFORE THE DEADLINE (talk about bad timing!) I stayed up all night writing my review (Girls in Pants by Ann Brashares). Anyway, I figured I didn't stand a chance because the people in Toronto would figure it was late.

Anyway this morning I swung by the website and whaddya know, my name was on the list of finalists! [img]graemlins/party.gif[/img] I'm so excited, but I'm anxious too, because they were supposed to phone the best contestants before the 28th- or at least that's what I thought. They might phone this week.

Anyway, I'm so excited and I'm so thankful to God for giving me this AMAZING opportunity!!

(OK, this whole post was WAY off topic but I just had to share with someone!!!)
