Hi, I have a doll with cut neck strings and I am wondering where I can buy a replacement string? Is there anywhere on the web that carries this type of cord? Do they have it at Joanne Fabric or Michaels? Any help appreciated, thanks!

I work at a fabric store and we have a drawstring that i think would work for it. As far as replacing it, there is a red loop thing that is just for casings that I have heard great things about (from customers and other employees and it's about $2 but is so worth it.
I'm glad you posted this because I need to replace Felicity's neck strings too.
Good luck.

Walmart has a good substitute cord in the fabric department; and in a pinch, just a regular shoelace works, too, for a temporary fix for a child's doll.

Here is a picture of the string from Walmart. It is a little smaller than the PM string, and a little larger than the Mattel string. It is also a brighter white, but can be tea stained to match the original cord if the color bothers you. I believe it was 52 cents a yard.

I got mine from Walmart.
If you want, send me your address and I will send you some.
