Star ratings?

I noticed that there are star ratings on this site. I can't find where they are explained though. Is there a page explaining how they work? I notice I've got 2, and someone pmed me explaining that there are some people who do one's to be mean, Is having 2 bad? Or is it a 0-5 kind of thing and 2 is better than 0? The scale is 1-5 with the least being bad and the most being good. Yes, some people do this just to be mean. Others randomly go throughout HB and rate people low...who knows why? *rolls eyes*

I think you can turn the rating off (where no one can rate you) if you go up to your profile page. Some people save themselves a lot of aggravation that way.

Don't worry about the ratings, they don't mean anything. There are just some mean people (not on this board, but other boards) that go around giving people low ratings. I just gave you a 5 so it should go up some [img]smile.gif[/img]

sometimes rating of 1 are desrved though.... not by you but i confess that once of twice when some people are totally rude i have given them a 1 i wasn't probably the first person to give "stir the pot" individuals a low rating .... [img]redface.gif[/img]

I keep mine turned off. I'm a sensative person by nature, so even something as meaningless as the rating system on the board can hurt my feelings. Also, it seems like a pretty silly system anyway.

Your avatar is adorable! I also gave you 5 stars. Most people who give less than fair ratings aren't even from our board, but people from other hostboards who are, well, bored and immature.
