Just wanted to let you know that she arrived at her first hosts home a few days ago with this to say:
Dear Mama Lorelei and Mama Alex,

Well, after a long trip in my box, I arrived safe and sound at Jeanette's house late this afternoon. Thank you so much for putting my sleeping bag and pillow and story book in my box with me! They helped me feel safe and comfortable while I was traveling, and I didn't get scared one bit! As soon as Jeanette opened up my box, she told me I was beautiful and picked me up and hugged me for a long time. That made me feel really good and helped me know I was in a place where I would be loved and taken care of.

Right away, Jeanette helped me change into sweatpants and a tee shirt and brushed and re-braided my hair. It feels so good! I also met her Josefina - who always wears her historical clothes and is always called "Josefina." She is very sweet and kind and said she will introduce me to more of her sisters when I finish my letter. I have seen lots of girls peeking around corners and such, but Jeanette said she told them to give me some time to relax and rest a bit before they all rush to meet me at once.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Jeanette took some pictures of me meeting Josefina and typing my letter, and she will put them on the end of this letter. I miss you both, but I know I will have a great adventure and meet lots of new friends.
