Everything was making the leap to the smaller 3-3/4" size after the success of Kenner's Star Wars line. Hasbro did one better by improving articulation, which was then copied by companies like MEGO, which was on the verge of closing... ironically, MEGO was first approached about producing toys for Star Wars, and they passed. Had they done the line, who knows what toy history would've been like. Maybe MEGO'd still be around.
