Maybe you should hold the camera by the body or at least use a tripod and a remote. Swinging it around by its cord usually doesn't work.

I don't seem to have any single pics of me available but here's a group shot of a bunch of us.

I love the illusion created by the pic. I'm the on in the middle (holding the beer bottle) and I look taller than a lot of people there. I'm actually as tall as Drau over there on the left.
