When I was on vacation with the family 6-7 years ago in DC, we saw a squirrel fall about 40 or 50 feet from a tree onto a brick walkway. It stayed perfectly still for about five minutes, then got up and took off.

A friend of mine shot and killed a chipmunk with a BB gun once. Man was she cute and soft. I felt really bad for her.

WLN - I've seen something like that too. A young squirrel fell out of the tree and lay still for a few min. Later I saw the mother had carried it 3/4ths the way back up just to end up dropping it again.... [img]frown.gif[/img]
