Great show... though I think they are all actually dead... and the island is some sort of purgatory (pergatory?)...

Remember... I said it here... first!

I can't believe we're getting at least 2 new episodes back to back. The reruns were just about enough for me to quit watching, lol.

I really want Hurly's back story too. Next weeks episode looks really good. I was pissed at Charlie tonight, cause I really wanted to find out what Ethan was up to.

And if they're in purgatory, Spore, I'm going to shoot my TV.

Spore, they made it pretty obvious in the back story on the kid and his dad that yes, there's something going on with the kid. The bird hitting the glass? The stepdad being in an awful big hurry to get him out of there? Mom dying extremely young and extremely fast? Locke making a comment on having him 'fulfill his potential'?

There's something very specific about everyone of the characters so far, with the exception of Locke - they all suffer from tremendous guilt. They've all done something they regret, but I don't think it's purgatory. They didn't necessarily do something awful, or evil, but they blame themselves nonetheless. I'd been thinking that was going to tie in for awhile now, but Charlie had me guessing, since until last night we hadn't seen anything he had to feel guilty for. Now we know, and I'm betting Locke has plenty, once we learn the story of how he ended up in the wheelchair in the first place.

    Poor Steve...er...I mean Scott.

I tell ya, I leave the show more frustrated than not. We're looking for answers and we come away with even more questions. I hope the producers at least stay on some sort of track with their original storyline. If they're just changing the whole thing just to keep us on our toes I'll be pissed! I think the entire thing is really pretty straight forward at one level - they're being played.

Everything that's on the island is all part of an elaborate ruse to get them to do something. What that something is (come to terms with their problems, etc.) and who is doing it, that's the big open question.

Everything that's happened has been done intentionally to force other things to happen. Ethan? He's not any more 'real' than the polar bear was. He was there to push their buttons, and get the guns out. He's also there to get Charlie to make it past his guilt.

Ethan and the French woman aren't real - not in the sense that they crashed on the island, blah, blah, blah. They are part of whatever master plan the island 'creators' have, and a certain number of people of the 40 odd left are the only 'real' (i.e. not part of the island's game) people involved.

But why? Who? I've heard from someone that works on the show that it will all make perfect sense. Of course, he was dropped on his head as a child, so what makes sense to him may not to me.
