I really did plan on doing a review last night, but once I got rolling on finishing up all the People's Pick Awards, I realized just how huge a task that was! Sorry, but it won't be til Tuesday that you get another review from me.

But today I do have the final People's Pick Awards tabulated and listed for 2004. There's some surprises, some not so surprises, and a few that really were dark horses. Check it out and let me know what you think!

And don't worry if you haven't heard from me yet, as I haven't picked the winners. I'll be doing that in the next couple days. Tuesday will be a big Sideshow day, with multiple reviews from me at Poop Shoot and at my site, along with guest reviews. Sideshow also had a big announcement of Highlander figures this weekend, and I have a link off the home page to their splash page. Thanks for reading!

Love Gun took worst vehicle/playset catagory? Obviously a backlash against overdone Kiss as opposed to the set itself. I think the Love Gun set is one of the best pieces McFarlane has ever done!

That was pretty much my only surprise.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree, people just bashing KISS and the fact that McF is still making KISS figures.

Kind of surpised about the Aragorn fig too.

I wasn't surprised about Love Gun - I think KISS is certainly over by now, and it's a set that just hasn't been selling. Worst isn't always about quality, as you can tell by the Riddick set doing so well (or poorly, since it's a worst category).

I was really surprised by the Bride winning best female, but those are very tough categories because they are so split. Just as many people like Bathory as Bled, and getting a large number to pick only one out of a couple dozen choices is tough. Still, the fact that the Bride edged out the others was a big surprise to me.

Another surprise was the 18" Drac ending up on the worst list, even if it was just in third. I suspect a lot of that is backlash over the prices of the Sideshow product though. The fact that Aragorn took first surprised me more, since I thought Legolas was much weaker.

Well isn't the problem with Aragorn a likeness issue since Viggo won't allow his face to be licensed?

Nah, Viggo has never had that issue, and Toybiz even discussed the real scan they did with him awhile back. They said it was the facial hair that caused them all the issues in getting their likeness right.

I too was surprised by the worst 18" going to Neca's Aragorn. That was one of the best Aragorns
in any scale I've seen. I thought it finally looked like Viggo.
