On the other hand, when I was buying a guitar for my daughter the first guitar the guy showed us looked pretty nice. He started playing it (showing off really) thru a portable amp with the heavy distortion on. I said, "um...can I hear the guitar without all that distortion?" It didn't sound so good and I think he knew that.

doubt he knew how to play it then...<hr /></blockquote>Nah, he knew how to play okay. As with any guitar you should play it yourself. I played it and my daughter played it...it just didn't sound right. I then asked if they could show us one that was tuned. [img]wink.gif[/img]
