Came across this on Digg today and installed it on my work laptop (like I am going to risj screwing up my own system!)

http://xpero.msfn.org/?page=home

Makes XP looks sweet! Some added features in there as well like an enhanced Task Switcher and a "reloader" that allows you to override the manditory restarts when you apply patches (it reloads the components which means you don't need to reboot)

Been using it all day and it just gets better

Give it a shot

Um.... what's with the Fisher Price sized icons on the desktop????

I want a gui that makes ALL of the taskbars and icons go away..... when you right click the desktop a customizable "taskbar" opens that allows you to open programs, run tasks, or whatever.

VIRUS AND SPYWARE ALERT!!!!

Be VERY VERY wary of any "Anti Spyware" software things you see from "Spywarestrike" or "Spyaxe".

They're variations of a trojan that installs on your machine, forcing popups that look like this in your taskbar:
137512a

Any attempt to close or disable the window will take to you to their site where you can pay them $50 to remove it from your machine. (yeah right, the same fuckers that wrote the trojan in the first place)

Spyware strike in particular is very nasty... none of the reputable things will currently remove it (McAfee, Symantec, Norton, AdAware, Spybot Destroyer) and you have to edit the registry to remove it.

Because of the way it infiltrates, it will pop up on all users, and even in safe mode.

I got it cleaned off of a machine, but I still have some issues I'm trying to resolve... makes me want to hunt down these fuckers, cover their body in paper cuts, and dunk them in a pit of leeches and maggots.

fucking gave me heart failure there Baimun!

I have been using this for a couple of days and had no problems. The only hiccup I have run into is with dual monitors. You have to install it with only one montor enabled, then turn the other one on for it to be detected.

I was about to shit myself if what I posted was doing that type of infection on the system and I didn't notice it!
