Downloaded the preview and issue 1 on Spawn.com...

Well, my input, it feels it's aimed at a much more younger market... dunno ...

Thumbs up

Just like most of the other stuff Todd's doing, I have ZERO interest.

First of all, if you put "The Adventures of" in front of any title you know the target audience is going to be young.

I will probably buy it when it comes out in comic form later next year, just becuase I am sad like that with the cards and comics, but I am not too overly impressed with it.

Saturday Morning cartoons ended a couple of decades ago, didn't they?

Not so. Fox held on to the tradition, and recently something called Qubo started airing blocks of mostly CG toons (including de-Jesus'ed Veggietales) on NBC. Great stuff to watch while I eat my Cocoa Puffs.

I like it. It's really slow, though, since they only have been releasing a few pages a week. It's light and fluffy and compared to how in depth I read the regular series it's nice to be able to sit back and just enjoy it.

I was vehemently opposed to it at first, but it's growing on me. However, unless it picks up soon I may start to lose interest simply because of lack of exposure.

I wish I could find the interview where Todd was saying how he wouldn't be able to go in someplace and say....

"Well... it's about this guy... who dies... and goes to Hell. He makes a deal with a devil named Malebolgia and comes back from the dead as a boogie man with spikes, chains, and a skull for a face. And we want to make a saturday morning cartoon out of it..."

He talked about the blank stares he would have gotten... so he went to HBO.

Makes me want to print it out... then shove those stupid series 30 figures in his face and say...

WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?????

I think it's O.K. for a bit of a change-

a bit like Marvel's Mangaverse-
it was there,
& then it was gone-

(I dig the figures for the same reason........)

I'll pick up the TPB when it comes out~
