That is the "ideal" way of collecting. But you and I know that that is not always the case. Nor is it realistic in a way. Most, if not all, collectors are selfish, though most will not admit it openly. That's the primary reason why they collect, though most might not know it. Deep down their hearts, they don't give a shit what the other collector's think or do. If he does care, it's mostly out of idle curiosity or ego matters. He satisfies his "wants and needs" first, then maybe extend a helping hand if a fellow collector ask for help.

Fully understand that tr3s, and I really don't see where that differs from what it says above.
I mean I try to help everyone I can, but Iwill tell everyone that if I want the same piece, and I am looking for it as well, the first one I find goes into my collection, all others I find will be helping others [img]smile.gif[/img]
I don't think helping yourself to complete what you want first is a bad thing. Just grabbing multiples that you aren't needing before trying to help others out is an issue
Yeah, hoarding is never cool to begin with. That is when selfishness becomses meanness. That kind of behaviour and thinking I do not conform with, unless I fall to the Dark Side and join the Sith...hmmm. [img]wink.gif[/img]
