classic.
"Roger Corman's: Frankenstein Unbound"
After watching the first half of this movie, I feel like Roger Corman has raped my brain.
For those who've been fortunate to miss this cinematic turd.... A scientist from the future (John Hurt from 2031) goes back to 1817 and meets up with Victor Frankenstein ("acted" by Raul Julia) and his monster that looks like a cross between Lucidique, a Pro Wrestler, and one of those Troll dolls with the fuzzy hair. Apparently the monster wants Frank to make him a mate, he won't, so the Monster is systematically "Unmaking" people to persuade Victor.
Bridget Fonda plays Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (who will marry Michael Hutchence from INXS and become Mary Shelly)... So Dr. Buchannan (Hurt) tells Mary that he loves her work (that she hasn't written yet) and proceeds to print out a copy of it from the dash of his bizzarro future car that talks like KITT from Knightrider and looks amazingly similar to the 1988 Italdesign Aztec Concept car.
I was semi entertained with this shlock until he goes to Mary's abode (where she is the mistress of Lord Byron who also lives with Shelly... but then she sputters "I've never met a man like you." "That's because I don't exist yet." and they kiss.
Dr. Buchanan apparently has no fears of upsetting the space-time continuum and unmaking the future (and possibly himself)
But no... that's not what this movie is about... it's about our Troll-haired monster with the 3 foot wide head that likes to stomp around and say "WHOO MAAADE YOUUU...." (Plays AC/DC in background)
Oh... did I mention that in a time when people are hung for witchcraft with absolutely no evidence... Buchanan likes to drive around the countryside in his "electric carriage"
Why didn't I just turn the TV off after Sopranos and go to bed???

The best part of the movie is that image above....
.... That stitched together eyeball is cooler than the entire move.
which btw, I just realized that "Frankenstein Unbound" is really just Roger Corman's way of spelling out "F.U." to all of us.

Baimun-what you've got to see is "Frankenstein's Daughter"~
(not to be confused with "Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter"
if it's Corman, you know it's good!

Maybe Corman should remake "Showgirls".
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I have to confess something. I'm a Vegas movie freak and I like Showgirls. There's somehing about Vegas, this kind of "do or die" feeling that is contain is this one city where you can become a king (and leave as soon as you are ) or totally die trying (if you don't leave) that attracts me. And Showgirls shows part of that. Plus, sexy naked chicks, and that pool scene...Originally posted by Baimun:
