House of M is a story line where Scarlet Witch of the Avengers loses control of her reality warping powers and fucks up the entire Marvel Universe.

She creates a parallel universe where everyone's a superhero and Magneto is the king of the world (he stands on the bow of a boat and plays Celine Dion records all day)

Anyways... all the heroes you're used to seeing are there, but they're just different... not that dissimilar to when there was the Xmen thing with the future different versions of the characters.

Just like the other one, eventually the characters realize they're not the "true" timeline and everyone dies. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
