Do RFID wallets really work?
I can tell you without having one that yes they do. The RFID chip operates because a signal causes it to get just enough energy to turn on the circuit in the card and start repeating its identity. The wallet you are talking about has a Faraday (a true genius) cage in it that prevents the signal from activating the circuit by absorbing the energy in the signal. Is it really worth it? Depends on the need. Are you in crowds where proximity is a problem? In order to activate the circuit so it will automatically read out its identity, you have to have the signal close to the card you want to read. The card's signal is not very strong. That means the perpetrator has to be in close quarters with your wallet.

Re: Do RFID wallets really work?
Yes, of course, with the rise of mobile payments and the introduction of new technologies, many people have become concerned about the security of their personal information, click to read more. However, a recent study has shown that even despite some data breaches, the use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is still a viable option.
