I loved it and I hate foreigners!
It was a very well made flick, but I didn't particularly care for the twist.

no i hate them more than most though.
Subtitled? The one I have is dubbed.
the setup menu has the option to select dubbed or subtitles and the different versions of the film.
Best bet is to select French Directors cut unrated. and English subtitles.
Let's put it this way...I watched it at about 8 am after getting home from work, then went out looking to buy it at about noon...Frye's wanted $19.99, so I said "fuck that", and am ordering it from DeepDiscountDVD in a couple days with that 20% coupon...
Even though I knew the twist going in (I had read spoiler posts because the twist was considered so "love it or hate it"), the thing was damn well done, and I especially liked how little exposition there was regarding the twist (I hate when they spend an hour and a half building to a twist, then have to spend10 minutes explaining it).
It was well-acted, full of tension (appropriately), and Cecil de France was teh hawtness...(although I have a thing for short hair on the ladies...and accents, so she was at an advantage).
I tried to get my dad, and several of my friends to watch it, but they're all douchebots who can't watch a subtitled film...(to be fair though, my friends were drunk at the time)

i probably wont see it, simply becuase i am not much of a fan of the horror/slasher movies as much as you dudes are.
funny story, this girl in work was trying to describe a movie, and it just didnt sound familiar at all, and it had a crazy ending... the she remembered the name... "High Intensity"... it wasnt till about 20 minutes later that i realized she was talking about High Tension
Actually, neither am I...I generally am not a fan when it comes to horror movies, I have maybe 3 in my dvd collection. But I've been trying to check some out lately to see if my opinions/tastes have changed.
If you don't mind gore, and I know you don't (at least, animated gore), I would give it rent...Hell, it's only 90 minutes long...
