*** Things to be excited about for 2004. Pics, info, constantly updated!

Alright, here's some stuff that I'm personally excited about that's coming out this year, as well as a bunch of stuff I know alot of others are excited about. I'm doing two separate posts in here, one for McFarlane Toys and one for NECA. So, without further ado, here's the planned McFarlane stuff for this year!

McFarlane's Monsters 3: Six Faces of Madness

The third series of the McFarlane's Monsters action figure line focuses on the past: A historical look back at some of the human race's most notorious blood-letters and miscreants. Incredibly detailed and fully accessorized, McFarlane Monsters 3 gives new meaning to the term monster.

This is all we've seen thus far, but here's the lineup, with the possibility of another figure being thrown in later on.

This is probably my most anticipated line of the year, and judging by the discussion over on the Spawn.com board, it's creating a whole lot of interest.

Alien vs. Predator

Really no details on this one as of yet, but we know McFarlane has the license, and this week they should be revealing what they plan to do with it. Preliminary speculation is thinking that they're just going to re-tool MM6, but there's been no evidence to suggest this aside from rumors.

Movie Maniacs 7

All we know thus far is that both Robocop and Frank the Bunny (look up) were planning for this line, with Frank possibly being pushed back for MM8. Of course, as you would imagine, speculation's running damn wild on this one.

We know it's on the way, but that's about it.

There's also lots of Sports coming out, but who cares about those, right?

Jesus, where to begin? We know they're gobbling lines up constantly, with Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Freddy vs. Jason, The Crow, Ghostbusters, and Pulp Fiction being among the licenses that have been announced thus far. Lord of the Rings and Freddy vs. Jason are probably the most popular out of those listed, but they've got a hell of a year ahead of them.

We've also got prop replicas of Freddy's glove and Jason's mask coming out sometime in March. The figs should be hitting at the end of this month.

And last but not least, we have the 18" Freddy coming out soon.

The Crow

An 18" Eric Draven is also in the cards, hitting sometime this summer. He's coming with a gravestone base, a trenchcoat and a crow to sit on his shoulder.

Ghostbusters

This one promises to be interesting, at least. Hopefully they've gotten likeness issues sorted out for the second series.

Kill Bill

These promise to be big sellers, if only for their "blood squirting" action. O-ren Ishii and GoGo are also coming out in the first wave this summer.

Lord of the Rings

Done in an 18" scale, these two will be the beginning of a new line that will eventually bring us alot more characters, including Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog, who is clocking in at 23" tall. Details on the rest are sketchy, but I'd bank on there being plans for many more figures, heroes and villains alike.

Well, there we have it. If there's one thing to say about 2004 right now, it's that alot of us are going to be flat fuckin' broke.
