It's probably more like half your age divided by the average lifespan of a seaturtle, then multiply that result by the number of continents, squared, and add 13%. That should do it if we agree that zero represents nothing and not the sum of all numbers. Coincidentally, this number will also be the length of time in hours that it would take two hamsters to change the sparkplugs on a '95 Accura Integra.
By the by, no new continents have been discovered hovering over the Sea of Japan, so the current count stands at 8.765.

This just in: Australia and Greenland have announced a merger that will result in a whole new continent bringing the new count to just under 46.

I stick with the correct answer of ten.
Artic is too a continent. A continent of ice and polar bears....or penguins.
