Ok, I just got back from a looooong trip (5 days) and I think this is the best place to put this: I find that the trip was actually made long by the fact that I found myself missing all of you! So no feeling lonely (ok, maybe bored, but not lonely), 'cause it's guaranteed at least someone is thinking of you right now http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
I just got back from seeing it. yes it is, but 3 AMAZING hours... wow... they stayed remarkably close to the book, but knew what to leave out at the same time (cause lets face it some things that may work great on the printed page do not translate well to the screen) tho, my sister, who has never read the book, was a touch confused at some points so that needed to be worked on a bit... like with Boromir's horn, they made no mention of it beforehand and she was like 'horn? what horn?' and in the book it was actually quite significant to him, so those of us who read it knew about it... you know, that sorta thing. overall tho, very cool, and yes, Legolas is a hottie!

awww... too bad tho I agree, Monsters Inc is very cool did you notice there were a couple X-Men jokes in there? "and he started firing laser beams out of his eyes, and she lifted me with her mind powers!" paraphrasing. there were more, lil ones, but i think the guys writing it were big X-Men fans. and yes i know they are not laser beams, but concussive force beams.
