wowsa... Kurt's a hottie again... *sigh*.... looks like Garney's ah, refined the design since 401, no more Disco-Crawler! i can definately live with Garney as the main artist, ayup. i mean Churchill had a nice lookin 'crawler aside from the mouth hanging open all the time... but all the fillins had a tendency to go for the creepy-looks-like he's-in-his-mid-30's angle... here's a nice balance. looks like he can kick some ass, , but not scary either. and he looks the age he should be. he and Archangel have the *exact* same nose tho... oh well. can't comment too much on the others... i liked his Wolverine and Stacy last issue tho.
that *cover* is highly unappealing tho but really how can a cover of Blob (flying?!?) be appealing?

here is 2 more pages, no text added yet, and no 'crawler. but it's got Abyss and Fever Pitch!

oh yeah... no wolverine this issue! i like the guy, but come on... he's *everywhere*

gah, i know why it looks so familiar now! it's AOA Kurt! it is... take away the red tattoo, and give him a haircut and it's the same design, the *exact* same design! i mean, no problems with that...design wise, i really liked AOA 'Crawler... AOA krut was a bit leaner, and obviously the design differed a bit from artist to artist... but it's awfully close.... if only we could see him in a real 3/4 view, that would be the real test.

Oh man was that a trip down memory lane...the old, dirty, run-down and filled with crime and corruption memory lane that I've purposefully avoided...but oh well. Just reminded me why I don't read the boards at X-Fan anymore. :-D I am actually getting into Uncanny again, so kudos to Casey for getting into his groove. This X-Corps thing is a neat idea, and a GREAT way to give some of our old favorites some screen time. Oh and a BIG buncha kudos to Casey for having the guts and presence of mind to leave Wolverine out of this ish...hopefully it's a sign of things to come. I always thought that having Wolverine in both New and Uncanny was the stupidest idea that came out of the relaunch. Now we just need our little Kitty to come join our team. :-D

I dont think will be joining anytime soon. Clairemont has a few items up his sleeve for her. Their is still the pending Mini-series he wants to write about her. And her cameo at the end of the last Xtreme annual, may signify her involvment with that team. On the plus side Lockheed was finally back with her.

Yeah, I know, BC. I wasn't speculating, I was just hoping...and as for Claremont...ugh. I've now read X-Treme up to the current one and I could pull better dialogue out of my ass. He's lost his touch. It's gone. And it doesn't look like he'll be getting it back anytime soon. Lifeguard...ugh...I've never seen a better embodiment of convenient powers syndrome...that's her power! I think she really signifies how bad he has really become. X-Treme is like BAD fanfic.

We disagree there, I feel that way about Uncanny. Joe Casey's Uncanny team to me isn't even close to being a bad fanfic. X-Treme is one of the only comics that is keeping me interested in comics right now.

Joe Casey's Uncanny *team* is like a bad fanfic? I hope that was just a... misunderstanding. The story shouldn't be judged by the characters but only by how they are handled.
...Unless the characters are obvious crap like Lifeguard.
