Here's how Marvel will solicit the Joe Casey-penned issue:
? THE SCOOP: Will Nightcrawler quit the X-Men?!
? THE STORY: Beseiged by nightmares that threaten to jeopardize his place in the X-Men, Kurt Wagner takes refuge with an old friend from his past. But when his teammates finally find him, will Nightcrawler return to the Xavier Institute?!
? THE FORMAT: 32 pages, with ads.
whoa. of course we all know he wont quit since Austen is using him, but eh, it'll be good anyway and he finally gets the cover! SOLO! but he's not in the best of shape... poor thing... and probably a nearly solo issue as well. nifty. old friend fromt he past. i have a suspicion it means Amanda or Margali. and this would be the reason he's gonna be in Germany, methinks.

yeah he's a mutant punching bag lately, him along with Beast. (not a good time to be a blue furry X-Man) but if it can get him out of the collar, he can take a bit more! he's resilient, he'll bounce back

I wonder if it's gonna adress WHY he said in Wolverine173 that his "days as a man of the cloth are behind" him... did that take place BEFORE this, AFTER it...? Are gonna see when he made this choice?
I'll be glad to see the priest thing gone, but I hope they don't remove it the way they brought it in.
"I'm suddently priest in training now, and I'm NOT going to talk about why I suddenly chose this lifestyle."
"Okay, I'm giving up on being a priest. Don't wanna say why or anything... Lets just move on..."

in agreement. i hate him as a priest, but if he leaves the priesthood they better be a damn good story behind it. that is one reason i am particularily intrigued about this issue - if he is featured so prominently, if he leaves inthis issue, you can be all but guaranteed it will be explained with good reasons.
i have a feeling Wolverineis kinda throwing a wrench in the works, as i think it is likely set in the future of the current Uncanny and New stories.

well in this case i don't have much to go on, but... well for one thing he said he left the priesthood, and yet he has not done so in Uncanny, where any developments in his character would occur. 2) the institute looks to be in fine shape, not being attacked by the Shi'ar or anything, 3) Beast is up and about, so it was not while he was unconsious... 3.5) not much, but Jean and the Professor do not make an appearance, maybe they are off in Paris together. and the clincher (sort of) 4) Nightcrawler was in New York, not in Paris with the X-Corps, not in Zurich, not in London, not anywhere else. see, they were in New York, or atlest the States, circa 399-401, but at that time, Beast was still in a coma. but from the sounds of things the away team will be coming back to the insitute after the X-Corps, while Jean and Xavier head to Paris. (if Paris is still intact, i will be severely dissapointed in Morrison. the other writers have touched on what happens in New but if he does not so much as metnion the X-Corps, i will be ticked. don't getme wrong, i like New, but... Morrison has an ego problem imho)

or, itcould jsut be a screw up that he said 'my days as a man of the cloth are bhind me' and noneof what i jsut typed means anything, as i jsut realized that in the Annual, Nightcrawler and Archangel speak with Beast at the institute, which screws up my whole thory. what little theory there was. honestly, it was more jsut a feeling
