I did it too. Up till a month or so ago I thought Rex Luscus was a guy. Remember that Rex? You'd post about what a hottie Kurt is and that you keep a copy of Excal #17 under your bed, and I was thinking "Hmm...must be a gay guy, not that there's anything wrong with that..." I'm kinda embarrased now.

Hee hee! Yeah, I remember that. But with a name like Rex, what did I expect? I know a few gay guys with a thing for Kurt, too, actually. That's the beauty of the internet; you can get away with being whomever you want! Not that I was trying to pass off as a guy, but it just goes to show I could have.

(Doing some pg 3 surfing, and lookit what I found!)
?!? SNIKT! ya kinda threw me with that last post... they'd shower whenever they get back to the X-mansion, right?
Had a blast reading through this thread again!
Amazing how much this place has grown. Hey ya know what buds, reading through this thread again got me to thinking about something...
Between this Forum and the WW thread were almost like a small political party.
As made evident by REX alerting us to Millars' thread over at Fandom and the success of KC's forum, it seems that when we collectively focus our efforts onto something good things happen! (It was actually kinda funny to see how some of the posters over there thought we were part of some insidious conspiracy to 'vote' Kurt into Millars book! ) At the very least we're acknowledged, and at best we can actually influence and change peoples' views on the merits of Nightcrawler's importance to the X-universe.
(I guess it's true what they say about strength in numbers!)
What do you all think about the idea of finding a Nightcrawler-related cause to collectively focus our efforts on? You guys are hands down some of THE most intelligent, creative, courteous and all around coolest posters on the internet. ( and i'm not just saying that 'cause youre all my buds!
)
Imagine if we focused our combined 'powers' on specific Elf-related/Elf promoting things!
eg. Letting Marvel, Avri Avrad, Bryan Singer and whoever else know just how much Nightcrawler would be missed if he's not in X-MEN 2...
Or reminding Quesada, Morrison, Casey and the X-offices of just how important Kurt is to the team and as a character in general!
(I imagine it shouldnt be too hard to find e-mail addresses, home pages and the like for some of the above mentioned people) Heck, it's a long-shot but we might even be able to recruit some of the proffesionals who we KNOW are big Nightcrawler fans! (Dave Cockrum, Alan Davis and Scott Lobdell as easy examples)
Whatta ya say buds? Am I crazy for even thinking this, or do you think the idea has merit? Now, mind you i'm not suggesting we become some covert internet group of Elf fanatics. *chuckle* Rampantly e-mailing creators and infiltrating Forums... infecting the masses with our Nightcrawler madness!
( I know, i've been watching too many episodes of the X-files. )
I'm just curious to see what kinda results we'd get from consciously 'picking a target' so to speak, and letting our voices be heard!
Whattaya say ya crazy, Elfaholic, Elficionado, Nightcrawler-lovin' maniacs!!
C'mon!!! LETS DO IT!!!

Hey Bamf! dude wait up, let me grab my loud speaker : JOE QUESEDA IF YOU DON'T RELEASE A NIGHTCRAWLER LIMITED SERIES, WE WILL BE FORCED TO DO SOMETHING REALY BAD! That'll scare him!
I think its a good idea Bamferoonie, we sould pool our resources. Personally I would go for a 'kitchen safety promotion' but I asume your thinking something more elf related huh? I think someone posted Queseda's e-mail over on the WW board I'll see if I can find it. Why don't we campaign for the limited series?

Oh that was just one poster who said he didn't mean to imply there was a conspiracy, apologized and deleted his post. He turned out to be a pretty cool person, which made me feel bad for going off on him.
Although I think its a good idea to write Quesada, I have to say I am uncomfortable with the idea of us deliberately trying to influence individual writers to put NC in their stories. I don't want to see Kurt shoehorned into places he doesn't fit. Rogue and Wolvie are both interesting characters in themselves, but they have become annoying because they are being forced into the stories. I don't want that to be done with NC. He fits very well in Evolution and I can see him easily fitting in Ultimate. That is due, I think, to the writers wanting to use him, or in Millar's case, being open to using him. If Singer doesn't want to use the elf in his movie, I'd rather not see him forced to.(if that is possible) The results most likely would be disappointing. Although I wasn't reading at the time, I understand that when Excalibur was cancelled, the writers of the main titles were forced to include Kurt, Petey and Kitty in the team, and they resented that. The characters were poorly represented because of that.
I think we are on the right track just by talking about the elf, welcoming people new to the character (there's a lot since Evolution started) and just being the fun nutty crowd that we are. I kind of feel if we try to exert an influence on people not interested all we would get is backlash.
