And I like the kitten competition too eris, though sometimes both the kittens were either too cute to choose between or not cute enough to merit choosing. Though that could be the fault of the owners bad photography.
Most of this stuff I'm asking for is actually for the fall. This summer is busy enough. My sister is getting married, so I've been flying back and forth the Boston, seeing people in Austin I haven't talked to in a while, trying to deal with my ex-boyfriend, another wedding that I was a bridesmaid for in Dallas, and so on and so forth. By the time my sister's wedding rolls around, I'll be glad of a break and consider it my real vacation. Mmmm. vacations.
And hey, my goddaughter discovered something amazing. It is possible to run your car into a city bus at upwards of 45 miles an hour and suffer nothing worse than serious bruising from the safety belt and a wrecked car.
The medics told her they were taking her to one hospital, then changed their minds after they took her phone away from her, so we spent three hours calling hospitals in an effort to find her, then called the police, who patched us through to the firemen medics, who were finally able to tell us where she went. It was a little disconcerting though when they said, "Your friend, is she the one who hit the bus?" *blink* "Uh, I hope not..." "Well it can't be the one who was taken directly to the morgue, that person doesn't match your description." "Oh. Uh. Good. Yes that wouldn't be her. She was still talking after the accident."
Stupid bus. So watch out y'all, for buses stopped in the middle of traffic without their flashing lights on.
