    Hi everyone!

The sipfans.com site is down at the moment due to the service provider's equipment failure. Here is the message that Gem asked that I share here:

    "Dear Gem,

We apologize for the service interruption. Your web hosting account will be reactivated shortly. The hard drive on the server needed replacement. We have completed the installation and are in the progress of restoring service.

    Best Regards,

    Jeff Blum

    Thank You,

    Sipfans Hosting Team"

Since Gem is going out of town for a short trip, she asked me to keep everyone updated. When I learn of significant events concerning this outage, I'll update everyone.

    Thanks!

    23JUL update

I was posting like a rockstar before four truckloads of moving stuff to the new place, arrived back and found the error "page unavailable" through Mozilla Firefox. And then, five seconds later, it came up?

It's going up and down and I don't know what to say because I'm not sure what is going on. Even if Gem were in town, I don't think she'd have much to contribute to the errors... it seems like it's in the hands of the hosting providers and their repairs on the dead hard drive.

I just logged on, no data appears to be lost. So, I don't think any of us should panic or worry needlessly.

I'll continue to update as I learn more

Must admit, as a comuter geek as my profession, I'd think they had a more robust system and that one failed hard drive wouldn't stop access.

I see this post is from July, so hopefully it's been smooth sailing ever since.
