Ok, so here's the deal:

Saturday Night Live makes this skit called "Lazy Sunday"

http://www.nbc.com/Video/videos/snl_1432_narnia.shtml

Which is put up on YouTube, and NBC moves to BAN IT

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3ISp...0lazy%20sunday

Just read some of the comments.

So several people make parody videos:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FUr4jNS1_k"]YouTube - LAZY MUNCIE[/ame]
This one is amazing! Totally funny! On a shoestring budget! Better than the origional I swear!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koq4D...rch=lazy%20snl
Another parody

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSuUX...rch=lazy%20snl
And another...

So you know? If that is the best the current SNL cast can do, and it is easily made fun of by complete amatures, what exactly is SNL's position in modern culture?
The origional SNL represented the cutting edge of comedy and social/poitical satire. The modern SNL represents... blandness. Crap. The Liberal-leftist paranoid delusion.
But it's politically correct blandness, which keeps it on the air where the origional SNL got cancelled.

Discuss. (please take the 15 minutes or so to watch all the videos. Keep in mind the SNL video was supposed to 'make fun' of the Chronicals of Narnia, a Christian themed novel/movie)

Question

I liked Lazy sunday, in all honesty I laughed my balls off when I saw it. I donno about cutting edge and I agree that SNL ain't what it used to be but I mean damn, look at who made it great, Murray, Murphy, Ackroid and Belushi to name a few....it's a good bet you'll NEVER see talent like that on SNL ever again. at any rate I don't see how lazy sunday represents a Liberal-leftist paranoid delusion. It was fun to see plan and simple, some comedy sucks and some of it don't. What I find funny others may not and vise versa. But remember, if you think it sucks, no one is MAKING you watch it. There are alot of OTHER shows to see you may enjoy like : Mad TV, Mind of Mancia, The Man Show ect ect...

YEah, I don't get how it's supposed to be about Narnia at all. A couple of commenters said it, before I actually saw the video (I watched the parodies first)
But anyhow, it IS really funny! Even if I don't get several things they're doing... cupcakes? Must be a New York thing...

Anyhow I don't watch SNL. My friend's kids do, they're like addicts! lol!
