2001 Appearances for Terry Moore

I didn't figure he'd charge'd any of you, I just didn't want to speak out of turn about it...
Yeah, Wizard World is the biggest comic convention in the western world(the ones they have in Japan are REALLY frikkin huge) so I can imagine I'll end up getting 30 seconds(counted out on a stopwatch by a wizard con gofer) but, hey I'll live.
You have to get to these people before they are big-Last year I hung around and talked to the guys who do Red Star and Violent Messiahs for like 20 minutes, this year I'll be lucky to get within 20' of them.

Good luck to all in KC, looking forward to seeing any who venture to the flatlands in August...

I do think it was for 5-10 minutes. But, like tyle said, I think it was mostly because there weren't many of us in line (it was a quiet rainy Sunday). Terry also did a quick sketch on the table itself. Thought that was hilarious. biggrin

ummm, Bran, collectively we spent almost an hour talking with Terry.
you spent about half of that talking with him. and i would like to say it again... why didn't Firebird let me take the table??? it would have looked sooo good on my wall! wink

that was hilarious and cool. and i LOVE my sketch. i liked the talk he gave, though i have to say, Terry, i'm a little shocked. COMICS AREN'T DISPOSABLE!!!! *hugs her comics tightlt*

It would just be nice if a major comic convention would travel to Houston someday.

Thanks for the info, y'all! I'm looking forward to next month. :-) If there's not a line and TM's doing sketches maybe I can cross my fingers for a Tambi of my very own! <g>

I think you hate us with Darcy's deep hatred but will you ever come to New York? Even if
you came, don't know that I can do a Con (disabled, broken beauty and all that) but
I think I would. How could I not?
And could somebody say hi or something? I feel so left out. It's cause my stints at the computer are far and few between (till
I win lotto and buy a palm pilot even tho I'll end up on Oprah).

Laylana, just contact the con organizers beforehand-I am sure they wil be very helpful. Last year at WizardWorld in Chicago, I saw several disabled con goers, and the wizard staff help them out(heck, they even moved one guy to the front so he didn't have to wait in the huge line to meet Garth Ennis and Joe Quesada) I don't know exactly what con promoters in NYC might do, but I am sure if it is a big show run by professionals, they will help make it a great experience for you.

I just found out my sister is getting married in August.......It better not be during con weekend, cause I will have a serious ethical dillemna on my hands.....

... and I just read that Terry will be at the PITTSBURGH COMICON !!! Yay!!

More information at www.pittsburghcomicon.com. I think this is Terry's first time in Pittsburgh (??), so I hope to see more of the east coast SiP lurkers like me there. smile

What is usually the rule for having get-togethers at a con with Terry and us here?
