Last weekend we brought some huge mutha tires with fancy dress rims for the 4x4 and as soon as we got home we put them on..niiiice biiiiiggg.
But to cut a long story short..
On Monday we visited a friend whos in hospital and had to park in the hospital carpark (where all the freaks seem to like to hideout).
Cutting story again..
Driving home after the visit, we're going down the highway then BAM!! the 4x4 is on a crazy angle making all these horrible screechy noises and one of the wheels is bouncing down the highway...into oncoming traffic.
oh shit oh shit oh shit..
Thats all I could say because I can just imagine this big heavy tire killing someone but it bounced off the bonnet of a car heading towards us (smashing one of its headlights and leaving a big dint in the front) and bounced back towards us.
We've come to a halt at the end of a turning lane in the middle of the highway and its not particularly safe where we stopped but in the end we managed to jack the 4x4 up high enough to get the tire back on and moved up onto the traffic island out of harms way.
The tire that came off I watched my husband rattle gun the wheel nuts on and he checked them with the tire iron to be sure. We think one of the freaks at the hospital loosened the nuts because all 6 nuts came off together and we found them in the same spot on the road. The other tires were fine so its the only thing we can think of to explain why all six nuts came off.
Only damage we did was grind one of the edges of the brake disc. The car that the tire hit didnt even stop to exchange insurance details with us. So we're lucky in all accounts.
Not something I wanna repeat again.

Oh my husband was a smart cookie when he installed the switch for the truck air horn on my side of the 4x4. He found one of those flick switches that have the red cover over the top of them..kinda like the ones you see pilots flick on their joysticks to push the lil lever underneath..Yeah well my switch cover is stiff and very difficult to open up in a hurry so I cant blast the dumb fuckers who annoy the shit outta me when I want to.
I guess he just knows me too well..I need those few seconds of frustration to cool down enough to swear something intelligent at them.
Did this make any sense?? *scratches head*
