yeah.....i was walking around downtown today.....hoop it up was going on (canadian tire basketball tournament....for all you yanks)....i don't know what i was thinking going downtown in the first place....anyways some kids i had never met started making fun of me and then shoved me to the ground....so i whipped out a hammer i was carrying (i have good reason) and bashed him in the kneecap.....he freaked out.....i smiled.....and i watched as his friend helped him limp over to the first aid tent......hope he didn't miss a game because of his stupidity!........but now i have this big scratch on my back.....stupid whores....when will they learn to just leave me alone?? i need me some beer! never really understood violence... i mean, nny's funny and all, but there effort it takes to kick the crap out of someone... it's just not worth it. not worth my time, not worth my effort, not worth my damn breath. 'course i've never gotten into a really violent situation, so that may change, but until then, there's my happy philosophy.
...and why did you have a hammer?

who do you think is tougher:
the one with the hammer
or the one with the brute force it
takes to knock someone off their feet?

A hammer isn't so much a weapon as it is a processing tool. It's great for getting skulls open and chipping away at a ribcage when you've got somebody in restraints, but it's a pitiful weapon for any initial assault. There are a variety of swords, knives, batons, and other melee toys of all sizes and shapes with which one can engage in nastiness with, but when you deal with these situations as an amateur, you're going to make a mess in all the wrong ways and an ass out of yourself. I honestly don't mean to sound like a dick, but there are much more efficient and enjoyable ways to defend yourself in this sort of situation.
